Demon-Vampire

This artwork was an experiment I undertook in an
attempt to try painting. The focus or "challenge"
with this artwork was to create a low-light painting
of a figure with a monochromatic theme, to evoke
a menacing aura.

To create my demon-vampire, I researched
various different vampiric sigils/runes along with
what each meant and merged them into a tattoo
that you can see on the figure's chest. Afterwards
I sketched a couple of poses and head designs for
the creature, then finally I painted over the top of
the sketch and smudged the lighter colours into
the darker ones to create that sense of depth from
the light
